ParentAhead Parent Mentor Agreement

Last updated: May 10th, 2026

This Parent Mentor Agreement is set between you and Bluebird Innovation Corp., a company registered in Canada and the owner/operator of the ParentAhead website and platform. This Agreement explains the rules for providing paid parent mentoring through ParentAhead.

ParentAhead is a parent-to-parent mentoring marketplace. Families come to ParentAhead for practical, real world guidance on K–12 strategy, university admissions, career launch, and parent-child challenges.

By applying, creating a mentor profile, accepting a booking, or providing a session through ParentAhead, you agree to this Agreement.

1. Your role as a ParentAhead mentor

1.1 As a parent mentor on our platform, you act as a vendor, provide independent, experience-based mentoring services to clients. It's therefore important for you to make sure your income is properly declared in your home country. As a platform, we neither count as employer, client or contractor.

1.2 The scope of ParentAhead's services is to match you with clients for sessions,  support bookings, and process payments. You are responsible for guidance, content, materials, messages, and files you choose to share with clients you interact with. We can't be held liable for content or communication between you and a client.

1.3 Your role is to provide experience-based guidance: sharing practical lessons from your own family’s journey to help clients understand options, avoid common mistakes, make better decisions, and improve parent-child communication. Your guidance should not be presented as a guaranteed formula for any child or family.

1.4 You are not acting as a school counselor, admissions officer, therapist, lawyer, financial advisor, medical professional, or official representative of any school or university.

1.5 You must not:

2.3 Once approved, mentors are encouraged to keep their profiles updated and share their ParentAhead profile with their own network to help generate early bookings. This is highly recommended but not required.

3. Mentor profile accuracy

3.1 Your mentor profile must be accurate, honest, and current.

3.2 You agree not to exaggerate your child’s outcomes, your experience, your school connections, your admissions knowledge, or your ability to influence any result.

  • parent concerns, family situations, learning needs, communication issues, or personal challenges;

  • messages, documents, screenshots, recordings, booking details, and anything discussed before, during, or after a session.

4.2 You must not share, screenshot, record, forward, post, publish, discuss, or reuse client information outside ParentAhead unless the client has clearly given permission.

4.3 You must not upload confidential client information, student details, application materials, grades, school lists, or family concerns into third-party AI tools unless the client and ParentAhead have clearly approved it.

4.4 If you need help from ParentAhead about a client situation, email parentahead@gmail.com and share only the details needed for us to support the case.

4.5 You agree to follow ParentAhead’s Privacy Policy when handling any client, student, or family information shared through the platform. ParentAhead can't be held liable for a breach of confidentiality.

5. Protecting your own privacy

5.1 You are encouraged to share real experience and practical lessons, but you should only share what you feel comfortable sharing.

5.2 You understand that ParetnAhead does not independently screen clients. You should avoid sharing sensitive personal details such as your child’s full application materials, private school documents, home address, financial information, or anything your family would not want shared further.

6. Availability and booking confirmation

6.1Please keep your availability updated and only show times you can realistically attend.

6.2 Mentoring on ParentAhead is flexible. Some coaches only make themselves available one day a week for one or two hours. Other coaches make themselves available multiple hours every day.

6.3 When you receive a new booking email, please reply within 24 hours to confirm that you received the booking and can attend. This helps ParentAhead and the client parent know the session is properly confirmed.

6.4 You shall respond to ParentAhead and client communications in a timely and professional manner, especially for confirmed bookings or session preparation.

7. Session preparation and delivery

7.1 Before a session, ParentAhead or the client may share key questions and background context so you can prepare.

7.2 During the session, please use the time professionally. A good session usually includes:

  • a brief check-in to understand the client’s situation and goals;

  • focused discussion on the key questions;

  • Give practical advice, examples, options and next steps;

  • end with a clear takeaway or action plan.

7.3 You are not required to do extensive unpaid research, document editing, or follow-up work unless separately agreed through ParentAhead.

7.4 If the client’s questions are outside your experience, notify parentahead@gmail.comas soon as possible so ParentAhead can help redirect the client if needed.

7.5 You are responsible for having the equipment, internet access, and meeting link needed to attend and deliver online sessions.

8. Involving students or your child

8.1 Sometimes, a client parent may ask a question where your child’s perspective could be helpful, such as school life, competitions, activities, student experience, or application reflection.

8.2 You may involve your child only if you are comfortable, your child is willing, and the client parent agrees in advance. You remain responsible for the session, the guidance provided. All participants must follow this Agreement, ParentAhead’s confidentiality, privacy, and no-recording rules.

8.3 If any student under 18 joins a session, they must be accompanied by their parent. This applies to both the mentor’s child and the client’s child. Students who are 18 or older may join independently if appropriate.

9. Rescheduling and cancellation

9.1 Parent mentors should avoid cancelling or rescheduling confirmed sessions whenever possible. Client parents book around your availability, and many share important questions in advance so you can prepare. If your schedule changes, please email parentahead@gmail.com as early as possible, ideally at least 24 hours before the scheduled session.

9.2 If a client asks to reschedule before the session is considered a no-show, or if you need to reschedule, ParentAhead can help coordinate a new time that works for both sides.

9.3 To reschedule, please email parentahead@gmail.com with the original booking details and your available time options. Once a new time is agreed, ParentAhead will update the booking and send both you and the client parent a new confirmation email with the updated session time and meeting link.

9.4 If a new time cannot be found, ParentAhead may help cancel the session, reschedule the client, or match the client with another suitable mentor.

9.5 Repeated cancellations, late reschedules, or last-minute changes may affect your profile visibility, payment eligibility, or ability to receive future bookings.

10. No-shows

10.1 If the client parent has not joined within the first 15 minutes of the scheduled session and has not contacted you to reschedule, the session is considered a no-show.

10.2 Please stay in the meeting for the first 15 minutes.

10.3 If the client still has not joined:

  • take a timestamped screenshot showing you were present in the meeting;

  • email the screenshot and booking details to parentahead@gmail.com.

10.4 You will receive your mentoring fee according to ParentAhead’s no-show policy, provided the required proof is submitted.

10.5 If you fail to attend a confirmed session or arrive more than 15 minutes late without reasonable notice, or repeatedly reschedule, ParentAhead may reschedule or refund the client parent, pause your bookings, reduce your visibility, withhold the related session fee, or remove your mentor profile.

11. Breaks, vacations, and unavailable periods

11.1 If you will be unavailable for a few days, on vacation, or taking a longer break, email parentahead@gmail.com with the dates you will be unavailable.

11.2 If you do not have current bookings, ParentAhead can block those dates so clients cannot book you.

11.3 If you already have upcoming bookings, email us the booking details and whether each session should be rescheduled or cancelled as early as possible. ParentAhead will help update the booking and communicate with the client parent if needed.

13.2 ParentAhead may use client reviews or testimonials for platform, marketing, and trust-building purposes, but will avoid publishing confidential student or family information without permission.

14. Payments and payouts

These processing fees are typically around 2–6%. ParentAhead may adjust or withhold unpaid session fees if there is a refund, chargeback, no-show dispute, payment failure, confidentiality breach, off-platform booking, or other violation of ParentAhead policies.
