Parent Mentors acknowledge and accept that financial institutions or payment providers may take additional time to deposit funds into their account.

7.5 Parent Mentors must not request or accept direct payment from ParentAhead clients for paid sessions introduced through ParentAhead.

8. Bookings, Cancellations, Reschedules, No-Shows, and Refunds

8.1 Booking a sessionClients may book a parent mentor directly through the mentor’s profile or submit the Get Matched form so ParentAhead can recommend suitable mentors before booking.

If a client cannot find a suitable time due to scheduling or time zone constraints, they may email parentahead@gmail.com. ParentAhead may check whether a mentor can open additional availability, but extra availability is not guaranteed.

8.2 Client cancellations and reschedules

Clients may cancel or reschedule a mentoring session up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time by emailing parentahead@gmail.com. If a session is cancelled at least 24 hours in advance, the client may receive a full refund or reschedule, subject to ParentAhead’s processing timeline.

Clients may not cancel a mentoring Session within 24h of the scheduled start time and the corresponding mentoring Session Fee is not refundable in that scenario, as parent mentors might have already started prep work and planned their time around the session. If an urgent situation occurs, the client should email parentahead@gmail.com, and ParentAhead may review the request case by case.

8.3 Mentor cancellations and reschedules

Parent mentors should avoid cancelling or rescheduling confirmed sessions whenever possible. If a mentor needs to cancel or reschedule, they must email parentahead@gmail.com as early as possible, ideally at least 24 hours before the scheduled session. If an emergency or unavoidable situation arises within 24 hours, the mentor must notify parentahead@gmail.com immediately so ParentAhead can help reschedule the client or find another suitable mentor. Repeated mentor cancellations or last-minute reschedules may affect the mentor’s visibility, payment eligibility, or continued participation on ParentAhead.

8.4 Client no-shows

Client No Show occurs when the client is more than 15 minutes late, does not attend the session, or attempts to cancel/reschedule less than 1 hour before the scheduled start time without ParentAhead approval. In a client no-show situation, parent mentors are required to stay 15 minutes in the Video Room and to take a screenshot of the Video Room with a timestamp proving the Client did not attend. If the mentor provides reasonable proof that the client did not attend, the mentor will be paid for the session according to ParentAhead’s no-show policy. Clients are not entitled to a refund for missed or no-show sessions. It's up to the individual parent mentor if they'd like to offer a replacement date.

8.5 Mentor no-shows

Parent mentor No Show occurs when the parent mentor is more than 15 minutes late, does not attend the session, or cancels/reschedules less than 1 hour before the scheduled start time without ParentAhead approval. In a Parent mentor No Show situation, Clients are required to stay 15 minutes in the Video Room and to take a screenshot of the Video Room with a timestamp proving the Parent mentor did not attend. Clients are required to report the Parent mentor No Show to ParentAhead within 24h of the scheduled session end time. ParentAhead will review the situation and may offer the client a refund, credit, replacement session, or reschedule.

8.6 Refunds

Clients may cancel or reschedule a session for a full refund up to 24 hours before the session.

Refunds are not guaranteed after a completed session, missed session, late cancellation, or no-show.

Refunds generally do not apply if:

  • the client cancels or requests to reschedule within 24 hours of the session

  • the client misses the session or arrive more than 15 minutes late

  • the session was completed and the mentor provided the service

  • the client did not reach a personal goal, such as admission, grade improvement, or a job/internship result

  • the issue was caused by client’s own technology, internet, device, email, reminder, or meeting-link access problem

  • the client contacts ParentAhead more than 24 hours after the completed session without raising a prior concern.

ParentAhead does not offer a money-back guarantee simply because a session did not meet a client’s expectations. If a client is dissatisfied with a session, they should email parentahead@gmail.com within 24 hours of the mentoring Session’s scheduled finish time,  with the booking details and a clear explanation of their concern. ParentAhead will review the request in good faith and may consider factors such as attendance, session delivery, mentor preparation, communication records, technical issues, and whether platform rules were followed.  ParentAhead reserves the right to determine whether the concern qualifies for a refund, credit, replacement session, or other resolution.
